Bis[(3-trimethoxysilyl)propyl]amine

SiSiB® PC1118 is a secondary aminofunctional silane possessing two symmetric silicon atoms. SiSiB® PC1118 may act as an adhesion promoter between inorganic materials (for example glass, metals and fillers) and organic polymers (thermosets, thermoplastics and elastomers) or as a surface modifier.


SiSiB® PC1118 amino silane is a slightly yellowish liquid with an amine-like odor. It is soluble in alcohols, aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbons.


SiSiB® PC1118 is the equivalent of Momentive's A-1170, Evonik's Dynasylan 1124.

Application


  • SiSiB® PC1118 can be used in many applications, like:

    Foundry resins: as additive to phenolic,furan and melamine resins
    Mineral-filled composites: for pre-treatment of fillers and pigments
    Metal primers
    Mineral fiber insulating materials, abrasives: as silicone additive to phenolic resin binders
    Sealants and adhesives: as primer or additive
    Paints and coatings: as additive and primer for improving adhesion to the substrate.

    Excellent primerless adhesion
    Higher filler loading
    Homogeneous distribution of inorganic fillers in polymer matrices
    Rheological behaviour: reduction in viscosity, newtonian behavior

  • SiSiB® PC1118 is supplied in 200Kg steel drum or 1000Kg IBC container.  


  • In the unopened original container SiSiB® PC1118 has a shelf life of one year in a dry and  cool place.
